【Summary Description】
argon arc welding hazards:
In fact, argon arc welding is more harmful than electrode arc welding, but it is not as big as daunting. Infrared radiation is about that of ordinary electrode arc welding.1~1.5The ultraviolet radiation generated by the argon arc welding arc is about the same as that of the electrode arc welding.5~20Times.
When welding in a limited space, the concentration of ozone can be increased to a dangerous level. During the welding process, harmful gases such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and metal dust will be produced, which will cause certain hazards to welders.
So we in the welding process to do a good job of protection, the selection of electrode materials, to try to use radioactive small cerium tungsten. When grinding the electrode, wear a mask and gloves, and wash your hands after work to minimize the harm.
Protective measures:
11) Ventilation measures
Argon arc welding work site should have a good ventilation device to discharge harmful gases and smoke. In addition to the ventilation of the plant, several axial flow fans can be installed in the place where the welding workload is large and the welding machine is concentrated. In addition, local ventilation measures can also be used to pump away the harmful gases around the arc, such as the use of open arc smoke hood, smoke exhaust welding gun, light small fan, etc.
21) Radiation protection measures
As far as possible, the radiation dose of cerium tungsten electrode is very low. Thorium tungsten pole and cerium tungsten pole processing, should be sealed or exhaust grinding wheel grinding, the operator should wear masks, gloves and other personal protective equipment, after processing to wash the hands and face. Thorium tungsten pole and cerium tungsten pole should be stored in an aluminum box.
31) High-frequency protection measures
In order to prevent and reduce the effects of high-frequency electromagnetic fields, the following measures have been taken:1) The workpiece shall be well grounded, and the welding gun cable and ground wire shall be shielded with metal braided wire;21) Reduce the frequency appropriately;31) Try not to use high-frequency oscillator as arc stabilization device to reduce high-frequency electric action time.
41) Other personal protective measures
During argon arc welding, due to the strong effect of ozone and ultraviolet rays, it is advisable to wear non-cotton work clothes (such as acid-resistant cloth, tussah silk, etc.). When welding in the container and local ventilation cannot be used, personal protective measures such as air supply helmets, air supply masks or gas masks can be used.
